Dylan has shown an increasing interest in cooking. Since we have been in India, he has started a
mini business of his own called “Taste of America.” He bakes cookies, cakes and pizzas and sells
them in our neighborhood. Recently, we
were talking to the owner of a local sweet shop, and he told us of an Indian
Master Chef who lives in our city. Dylan
found out that this chef works at one of the local public school. So, Dylan went the school to see if he could
meet him and possibly take lessons from him.
He left his name and phone number with the principal to pass onto the
chef.
Several weeks passed and we didn’t think we were going to
hear from the Master Chef. Then, he
finally called and invited Dylan to his house.
The chef grew up in our city and cooked for the military for several
years. He is very busy with his own life
and family. But, he has taken the time
out of his schedule to spend some time with Dylan, because he is blessed by
Dylan’s passion to learn to cook.
