Today we received a special gift...a visit from the wonderful man who bought our home - Gary. This is the second time we have had the opportunity to talk together in our/his living room. The first time we talked was when he stopped by during the home inspection and shared with us what brought him to our house. I stood there with tears in my eyes as I listened...I will never tire of telling this story because it is such an incredible testimony to our great God of how He weaves lives together for His purpose and glory. Gary moved here from California and has been living with his sister and her family while looking for a home of his own. We are blessed to know and go to church with his sister and her precious family. I first met Gary at Chipotle, when he mistakenly overcharged me for my order. He recognized me from the picture he had seen of my family on his sister's refrigerator. Later, as he shared with his sister how he had overcharged me...something he had never done before...she told him we were trying to sell our house. That led to him call our realtor to make an appointment to see our home. The same day he went through the house, Gary made an offer. He did not look at any other homes because he felt that God had led him to our home and that his buying our home was his way of being a part of our journey. What an incredible gift! Isn't it amazing how God's timing is perfect?! Not only did Gary buy our house at the perfect time but he also offered to allow us to stay in it as long as needed so that we could celebrate Christmas in our home and he offered to allow us to stay with him whenever we are in town. We are absolutely overwhelmed by such an amazing gift! We stand in awe of God! Merry Christmas!
