We have lived in India for 14 months and we’ve come to the
conclusion that it is the hottest place on earth…probably not…but it certainly
feels like it. For the six months that
we lived in Delhi the temperatures rarely fell below 100 degrees.
Right now, we are in the midst of monsoon season. The temperatures vary quite a bit during this
season but rarely fall below 80 degrees…even throughout the night. What has been difficult these past several
months has been the humidity. It’s like
nothing we have ever experienced before.
You know it’s hot when your daughter, who very reluctantly showers once
a week, voluntarily showers two or three times a day. Our house temperature hovers most of the day
between 85-90 degrees.
Last month, Tony and I went looking for a place to swim in
our city. The kids love to swim and
that’s one thing we haven’t been able to do much. We had heard about a “water park”, so Tony
and I went there to check it out. It had
two small slides, a wave pool, and a kiddy pool…and the water was neon green! Seemed suspect…Here’s two pictures from our
visit…
