We have some exciting news to share! In December, we were able to get one of our products listed on Amazon.in! Isn't that awesome! One of our friends actually gave us the idea. Our business, Zindagi Builders, makes and sells cajon drums. See the picture below, if you are not familiar with a cajon.
We have sold at least 10 drums on Amazon.in over the last several months. They have been purchased and shipped all over the country. We have seven reviews on Amazon and so far they are all five stars. The most awesome thing about it is that the drums and the carry bags that we sell with them are all handcrafted by Indians!
The Katon Cajon was birthed in Tony's mind as a language learning tool. We needed a drum for our fellowship. So, Tony decided to see if he could use his Hindi to get the materials and explain to a local woodworker how to make it. He was successful! The name Katon, was suggested by Kate from our office. The first two letters of Carrie and the first three letters of Tony put together form Katon!
Since opening our business we have employed our favorite carpenter, Manoj, to make nearly 50 drums. We are excited about the work that our business is doing and the gift of employing and loving on some very precious people!
