I’d like to recommend another book to you. The book is called Sold by Patricia
McCormick. It’s the story of one young girl’s journey from freedom into
slavery…human trafficking. We live in an
area that borders several countries; thus, our city is a hub for human
trafficking. Many young girls/ladies are
transported across our border where they become trapped in a life from which it
is nearly impossible to escape, on a number of levels…physical bondage, social
stigma, emotional wounds, etc.

in a small hut on a mountain in Nepal.

It’s hard to imagine innocent children and desperate
families being deceived into something as horrific as a life of prostitution…but
it happens regularly if not daily. I highly recommend
this book to help you step inside the lives of the precious victims of human
trafficking.
